New Release: Capturing of Contractors’ WBC/WSIB Numbers for each province
On the morning of Friday 9th September there will be a release applied to the ContractorCheck Contractor Portal. This will be a “zero downtime” release and as such the portal will remain available and there will be no planned service outage.
What should you expect to after the update?
This release (2.0.19) is intended to allow contractors to enter their WSB/WSIB numbers for each province they are active in, via their profile page in the Contractor Portal. The entry of the WSB/WSIB numbers isn’t mandatory, but it will allow the ContractorCheck team to better manage the validity and expiry of your WSB/WSIB occupational health and safety more effectively.
How it works?
This new functionality enables contractors to add a WCB Account number for each province they select to work in. From the Homepage of the Contractor Portal contractors are required to click on the option = WCB.
This then shows the following page. Any province selected by the contractor when completing their company profile will appear here.
To enter a WCB Account Number for any existing provinces selected, contractors are required to click the dropdown icon as shown below and then select the ‘edit’ option.
The following pop-up is displayed allowing contractors to add the WCB Account Number.
Clicking the ‘Save’ button saves the changes.
Note: There is no data validation on this field allowing contractors to add numbers, letters, slashes etc.
