1. Overview
Schedules can created on the Field iD web app and are setup at the asset type level. As an administration user with the Manage System Configuration permission enabled, you will be able to schedule events for assets belonging to the site/owner of which you are an admin of.
Schedule creation is account-specific and subject to individual account restrictions. Once a schedule is created, it can only be viewed and edited from the account it was created under.
Navigation:
The event scheduling page can be found by navigating to Setup > Assets & Events > Asset Types > [Asset type name] > Schedules (tab).
There are two types of schedules you can create: Recurring or Event Triggered.
2. Event Triggered
Event Triggered allows you to set up auto-scheduling based on the number of days between inspections. The next schedule will only be created when the assigned worker has completed the event.
When setting up, you can choose the event type, frequency and the owner (location).
For example, if the event type called ‘Chain Sling Visual' is setup for 30 days at the top organization, a new open event will be created 30 days from the last event submission for events with this event type.
These open events schedules will appear in the asset summary page on the web app and the events tab for the asset found on both the mobile app.
3. Recurring
Recurring schedules allows organizations to setup auto-schedules based on a frequency.
The Field iD pipeline is run once a day at around 12am EST and will create open events for the asset types based off the frequency that was set up.
When setting up, you can choose the event type, frequency (both date and time) and the owner (location).
There are also an additional two options at the bottom of the setup page:
Affect all - Checking this box will ensure that Field iD creates open event schedules for all sites below the owner you have selected
Auto Assign Recurring Schedule - Checking this box will automatically assign the next open event to the user who has completed the last event. The open event will appear in their My Works section on the mobile app.
