The Field ID application went down unexpectedly at 19:30 (EST) on October 17th, 2019.
Our North American server was brought back online again, approximately 1hour 45-minutes later, with full service restored at 21:19 EST.
The root cause: hardware failure. The hardware failure caused a delay in restarting the server. Engineers needed to re-configure a new server leading to a longer outage duration.
After this outage, we experienced issues with email until late in the evening, and PDF printing was non-functional until approximately 10:00 am EST, Oct 18th.
The outage has been reviewed alongside our Disaster Recovery procedures to capture our learnings from this event.
