Overview
There are many customers who are using older versions of our mobile application. In doing so they are exposing themselves to bugs and performance issues resolved in later versions. They are also not benefitting from any new enhancements of features we’ve introduced in recent releases, such as enhanced synching for offline mode, or pre-fill forms to streamline the completion of daily activities in eCompliance.
Mobile App Version Enforcement
Feb 3, 2025 we will begin enforcing a minimum version of our mobile application. Our goal is to deliver the best experience possible for our customers by ensuring that they use the latest version of our product.
Following this date, at the end of every month set the minimum app version to the latest stable release that has been fully rolled out on iOS and Android app stores. Once the version is set, users with older versions will be prompted to update their mobile application to continue using eCompliance.
Adopting a regular schedule to continuously set a minimum version whenever a new release or fix is deployed will ensure that our customers are using the most stable and advanced version of our product.
Next Steps for Our Customers
Today we urge all customers to voluntarily adopt the latest version of our mobile application. The easiest way to ensure this on an ongoing basis is to enable automatic updates for applications on your mobile device. Ways to achieve this can vary by device and operating system type, so please consult the manufacturer of your device for specific instructions.
Alternatively, employees can search for the eCompliance application in either the iOS or Android app stores, then select "Update" to download and install the latest version available.
Updating the mobile application will not force users to log out and log back into the application, nor will it affect any forms that are In Progress and saved as drafts.
Staying Up to Date on eCompliance Releases
Immediately following each new eCompliance release, we communicate a summary of changes published in our eCompliance Product Release Notes. Check out this article on How to Sign Up for Release Notes Email Updates – Support (ecompliance.com) if you wish to receive these notes in your inbox.
