This version update is phased for April 17-24, 2024.
IMPORTANT: this version contains changes that will prevent employees from using their email or username and password to login if they are part of an organization that requires mobile SSO for login.
Please review this article if you have implemented mobile SSO or are planning to implement this feature in your organization.
New Updates to Mobile Login Methods
To support application security for organizations implementing Single Sign-On (SSO), we're introducing an enhanced login page for user authentication when logging in via email address and SSO.
With the improved SSO functionality on mobile, the login screen will first only show the Email Address field. After entering an email address, tapping the 'Log In' button will trigger two responses depending on whether SSO is enabled at your organization.
If SSO is not enabled:
Simply enter the email address in the field and tap 'Login' to reveal the 'Password' field.
If SSO is enabled
Upon entering the email address and tapping 'Log In', a prompt will appear notifying users that they must log in via the external Identify Provider (IdP).
By tapping 'Continue' on the prompt, a new overlayed window with the IdP will appear where users can sign in. The username will automatically be populated with the email address entered in the eCompliance app.
If the credentials are valid and authenticated, users will be directed back to the app after tapping 'Sign In'.
