Search Terms
Search terms are defined by words, phrases, or specific values. Examples include:
-
49583
- RFID number
- Asset
- "eCompliance Release Notes"
These terms are not sensitive to case; "App" and "app" yield identical results.
A single-word search term will produce results if it is present in the data as:
- an individual word
- part of a longer phrase
- a prefix to a longer word (beginning of a word)
The search term will not generate results if it is found:
- within the middle of a word
- as a suffix of a word (end of a word)
For instance, the term "top" would correspond with "Top", "top tier", "Top Ten Bikes", "Tip-Top Mops", "Big Top Entertainment", and "Dessert Toppings, Inc". It would not correspond with "Desktop Solutions" or "One-Stop Publishing".
Search terms can include multiple words, with a query holding up to 64 words. For precise matches, put the terms in double quotes, like "eCompliance Release Notes". Without quotes, the search uses AND logic, requiring all words to be present in the record in any order for a match. For example, searching for a phrase will yield results with articles containing the terms in any order (Release Notes eCompliance, Notes Release eCompliance, etc).
