Dashboard
A visual interface displaying a collection of charts, graphs, and other visualizations, that provide an overview of key metrics and data points.
Dimension
A qualitative attribute of data that can be used to organize, segment, and categorize data, often represented as text or dates. Dimensions typically describe the data and allow for it to be sliced in various ways for analysis, such as by category, time period, or geography. Examples of dimensions in Safety Intelligence include - Form Date, Site Name, Job Profile, Action Item ID, Action Item Status etc.
Explore
A tool within Safety Intelligence that allows you to interact with your data by selecting, filtering, and organizing specific fields to create custom reports. An Explore acts as a sandbox where you can pull in different dimensions and measures from a dataset, run queries, and visualize your data to uncover insights relevant to your safety programs.
Filter
A tool that allows you to limit or refine the data shown in your report by specifying certain conditions. Filters help narrow down large datasets to focus on the most relevant information, such as data from a specific time period, location, or category.
Filtered Measure
A filtered measure allows you to apply a specific filter to a measure, such as a form question, so you can focus on a particular subset of data.
Look
A singular saved report or visualization representing a specific set of data, which can be added to dashboards as tiles, or can remain standalone reports.
Measure
A qualitative attribute of data, usually represented by a number, that can be measured, aggregated, or calculated. Measures are used to perform mathematical operations and are the basis for most numerical aspects of analysis and reporting providing things like sums, averages and percentages. These fields will dynamically change in value based on dimension aggregation and filtering. Examples of measures in Safety Intelligence include - Form Count, Count of Documents, Training Certificate Count etc.
Merge Query
A process that allows you to combine data from multiple explores into a single view or report. This enables you to analyze related data (e.g., Employee Hours and Incident Form Data) from different sources together in Safety Intelligence for a more comprehensive insight.
Table Calculation
A dynamic calculation applied directly to the data within your report, based on existing dimensions and measures. These calculations allow you to create custom metrics or perform additional analysis without altering the underlying data. Examples include calculating percentages, ratios, or creating custom formulas.
Tile
A component on a dashboard that shows a single chart, graph, or data visualization, sourced from either a Look or an Explore.
Visualization
A graphical representation of data, such as a chart, graph, or map, designed to make the data easier to interpret and analyze. Visualizations allow users to quickly identify trends, patterns, and insights from reports.
