1. Create a schedule from a new action item
- Head into the Action Items module
- Click on the Create Action Item button
- At the bottom of the form, turn on the Recurring toggle
- Once the option is toggled on, more options will show up. Choose one of the options:
Every day - This schedule will run every day and will be due on the same day
Certain days in the week - Multi-select options will show up after selecting this option. You can choose any days of the week you want this schedule to trigger
Certain days in the month - Multi-select options will show up after selecting this option. You can choose the days of the month that you want this schedule to trigger
Every year - This schedule will run every year on the day the schedule is created and will be due on the same day
- Fill in the necessary information for the action item
- Click on the 'Create' button to finish creating the action item and schedule
2. Create a schedule from an existing action item
Action Item schedules can only be created from Action Items that are not pending updates or approval. The existing action item action status needs to be in it's editing state for a schedule to be created from it.
You can choose to suspend an Action item to create a schedule from it but the action item will need to be completed again. For best practice, we recommend creating schedules from Action Items that are not pending updates or approval.
- Head into the Action items module
- Navigate an existing Action Item from the list
- On the left side of an Action Item, click on the Edit button to enter the Action Item's editing page.
Action item schedules cannot be created from Action Items that has an action status of 'Update' or 'Accept/Decline', you will need to suspend that Action item before you make changes to it.
- Scroll down and click the 'Create A Schedule' button next to Manage Schedule.
- Turn on the Recurring toggle
- Once the option is toggled on, more options will show up. Choose one of the options:

- Click on the 'Update' button to finish creating the action item and schedule
3. Accessing your schedules
In the Manage Scheduled Action Items page, you'll find a list of your recurring schedules and stopped schedules. Turning off any recurring schedules will automatically move the schedule to the 'Stopped' tab.
You can choose to turn back on any stopped scheduled from the list of schedules from the 'Stopped' tab.
- Head into the Action Items module
- Click the 'Manage Scheduled Action Items' button
