Button Functions: Set to Default vs Save
Navigation
To edit your site's home page, head to the Home Module, then click on the 'Edit Home Page' button under Site Operations. In order to see this button, you will need the 'Create Home Page' permission.
Button Functions: Set to Default vs Save
'Set to Default' is used when you would like to set your subsites to the top parent home page of your organization. 'Save' is used when you would like to customize a specific subsite's homepage.
Set to Default
IMPORTANT: If you click on 'Set to Default', the homepage of your current site and all its sub-sites will be reset to display the homepage saved at the parent site of your current site. This means that any customized home pages that were saved under the current site will be deleted, and only the edits saved at the parent site of the current site will be displayed.
For example:
Upon clicking the 'Set to Default' button, a warning confirmation prompt will inform you that all edits made to the home pages under this site will be deleted. Click 'OK' to apply the changes.
Save
When you click 'Save', the changes made to the home page will be saved and applied to the current site and all its subsites that were set to default. However, if a subsite of the current site has saved a customized home page, the changes saved at the current site will not affect this specific subsite's home page.
